What if you joined a growing start up to lead the development and growth of their Tech team?

To support a high growth, we are looking for a Director of Engineering to join us in Paris!

You report directly to our CTO and lead our Tech team of more than 20 developers organised in 4 squads.
Within the next 12 months, you will grow this team by 10 additional people.

You are responsable for the good organisation and development of the Tech team: you are the guardian of a healthy and effective organisation that insures productivity and good results.

YOUR MISSION

  • Hand-in-hand with the CTO, you drive the technical strategy, the roadmap and team priorities.
  • You ensure long term and strategic cross-teams projects are managed and delivered on time with the best quality.
  • You lead, coach and develop your engineering leaders, who manage themselves a squad of talented engineers.
  • You build the best team by attracting and hiring top talent.
  • You support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability.
  • You manage processes to help the team be the most efficient.

Profil recherché

PROFILE

Must have: 5+ years of engineering management experience including experience managing managers

  • You have successfully built teams, defined their missions and executed on their goals.
  • You have effectively recruited, mentored and retained great people.
  • You are a developer in heart and can support and help the team on technical problems.
  • You ideally have a back-end developer background and have seen the growth of a company, with the back-end problematics that it implies.

ATTITUDE

  • You help other progress and want to learn and grow by working with performing people.
  • Pragmatic and resourceful, you're a “doer” = you do things, quick and well. Even if you have to correct it afterwards.
  • Creative, curious and autonomous, you are ambitious and want to participate in a start-up growth.
